WWE Monday Night Raw 4/12/2021

We start off with a match which is quite rare.
Bobby Lashley vs Riddle
Riddle gets nailed on his scooter ride in. Riddle is wearing a Evel Knveval jacket and is thrown into the barricades. He then gets his head banged off the post.
Riddle is speared as he is in the corner and takes a neckbreaker. He is then delay suplexed. Bobby grabs the scooter outside and throws it over the barricades. Riddle is slammed and thrown outside, then is gorilla pressed over the barricade.
We go to break and return with Lashley still in control. Lashley then flatliners him and hits some crossfaces on him over the ropes. Riddle hits a nice high kick and some other shots before a pumping knee. Riddle misses the floating bro and is put in the hurt lock for the win. This was a 13 minute squash where Riddle got nothing in.
Rhea Ripley is interviewed. She says she is confident in herself in her title defense tonight against Asuka. Rhea says she is the new order of the women's division and says she will prove she is ready for Asuka.

Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin vs The Viking Raiders
The Viking Raiders are back. We saw Erick on SD last week. Ivar pounds on Cedric to start then Eric slams hin on Cedric. Cedric clips Eric then Shelton does a pumping knee. Shelton suplexes Erick for 2.
Erick takes a double team and an Angle slam for 2. Erick hits a knee on Cedric and both tag out. Ivar get some offense on shelton and splashes him while he is sitting up. Shelton charges him in the corner and gets sat on. Ivar cartwheels through a double clothesline then clotheslines them both back. Cedric is then popped up into a powerslam for the win.
The booking here was really bad. Cedric and Shelton lost 1v2 last week as their own indiviual team then lost here. Putting them against a returning team was not necessary and ensured someone's status would be hurt.
Asuka was interviewed. She said Rhea put up a good fight last night but now it is her turn. She said she is ready for her tonight and win the title back tonight.
Charlotte Flair comes out. She said whe wasn't on Wrestlemania as she wasn't "welcomed". She brought up what happened with Lacey Evans and Asuka and said the girls in the locker room used Flair's absence to get on Mania. She said karma is a b*tch and she is that b*tch. She said none of the other divas compare to her. She said she doesn't steal oppurtunities, she creates them and told people to enjoy the title match she should have been in. This was long.
WWE Raw Women's Title - Rhea Ripley (c) vs Asuka
They pound on each other to start and Asuka is thrown. Asuka is sat on the top rope and kicked to the floor. We come back from break with Rhea still in control. Asuka hits a 2nd rope dropkick and german suplexes her. Asuka high kicks her and spinning high kicks her. Rhea then sliding kicks her for 2.
Asuka misses a dropkick and is put in the gorilla clutch, but hits the ropes. Asuka hits a crucifix bomb then Fujiwara armbars her. Asuka is dropped on her chest from the electric chair position. They fight on the apron and Rhea plants herself on an apron ddt bump. Charlotte then ambushes both girls, attacking them. The ref stops the match. Asuka is fallaway slammed on the floor and both are kicked into the hard apron.

This match felt slow and a little long and I didn't like Rhea not selling the apron ddt too much.
Miz and Morrison meet up with Maryse in the back. Morrison doesn't know why she's here even though it was announced that she will be on Miz TV.
Nia and Shayna are laughing at Mandy's fall at Wrestlemania. She said it was embarrassing but funny and said it's funny how things happen like that when you don't see them coming. Dana then assisted her in shoving Nia into a pillar. Nia got right back up though.
Alexa's Playground
They showed clips of Alexa and The Fiend's history. She said she realized she could do everything on her own and didn't need the darkness anymore. She introduced us to "Lily", which is some kind of stuffed doll and said the fun was just getting started.
Miz and Morrison meet up with Maryse in the back. Morrison doesn't know why she's here even though it was announced that she will be on Miz TV.

They announced the season premiere of their show tonight and Morrison they should have a new show with him in it. They remind John that he is tonight's show and pimp Maryse's product.
Miz said he made Bad Bunny a superstar. He kept bragging about it, then Damian Priest came out. He said Bad Bunny shocked the world because he put in the work. Miz said Priest was just jealous of Miz. He said he would challenge him 1v1 if he wanted to see starpower. Morrison said he wanted to do that too. Maryse interrupted as they argued and said they both can't fight him. Priest said he would fight them in a handicap match.
The Miz and Morrison vs Damian Priest
Miz and Morrison are in regular clothes. They get beat up early. Miz lays Priest on his knees then Morrison slingshots over the top with an elbow on Priest. Priest gets control and high kicks Morrison and jumping shoulders both opponents. He then throws Morrison on a falcon arrow and spin kicks Miz.
Priest then sit out side chokeslams Miz and gets a running crotch in the by Jomo. Both opponents go outside and Priest flip dives on them. Priest goes up top and spin kicks Jomo for 2. Priest hits a twisting reverse ddt on Jomo and Maryse prevents him from doing it to Miz. Priest apologies to her and is rolled up for the win with Miz's feet on the ropes. Miz loses his pants as he leaves. Priest was a dummy for taking this and kind of got what he had coming. To close the segment, Miz fell and Maryse fell with him.
Nia and Shayna were interviewed. We saw Nia getting beaten up earlier. Nia wasn't happy to see this and said this was done to embarass her. She said Mandy and Dana did this to deflect from Mandy's WM fall. Nia said after the beating she gives them tonight, nobody will talk about Mandy or Dana.
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose
Dana is thrown by Nia early and is whipped into a had Nia body block. Shayna stands Dana on her head and stretch mufflers her, then bangs her head hard into the 2nd buckle. Nia drops an elbow and Dana makes the tag. Rose gets in and drop kicks Shayna from the top and flapjacks her.
Mandy escapes out of the ring to get out of a choke. Nia throws her back in. Nia goes in and trips going up on the apron. The blondes laugh and run for the Nia and Shayna countout vicotry. This was lame.

Bobby Lashley's Almighty Address
MVP says Lashley will be joining us shortly. He called Drew a warrior and said it's okay for him to be #2, but Lashley is #1. Drew then came out.
Drew said MVP distracted him and cost him the match. He said there isn't much you can do once Bobby puts you in the hurt lock. Drew told MVP to let Bobby get a big head and get on his big pedestal, so when he Claymore's him he falls hard and Drew becomes champ. MVP says nothing is given around here thne Braun Strowman came out.
MVP told Braun to get to the back of the line. Braun said Drew lost and goes to the back of the line, while he steps in front because he beat Shane. Braun and Drew go face to face then Orton comes out. Orton says he is done with Bliss and Fiend and now can focus on being WWE champ again.
Adam Pearce then comes out. He signs a #1 Contenders Triple Threat match between them with the winner getting a shot at the next ppv. I have some problems with this. Drew lost and is being rewarded and Braun beat Shane, who was nowhere near a top contender and is rewarded.
Drew and Braun meet up in the back. Drew talks about how he can win. Braun says Drew is standing in his way though and he's got a monster sized @ss whooping coming his way.
Elias and Ryker have the guitar in the ring. Elias wants to dedicate a song to Shane's bravery and Woods blows his trombone when he plays. Kofi and Woods come out and Kofi said they embarassed the tag division by getting whooped by Braun at Mania and said they would leave the tag division if that happened to them. Elias then brings up how they got whooped at Mania by Omos. They ignored that and said they would whoop them tonight in their tag match. Woods then started playing the trombone.
The New Day vs Jaxson Ryker and Elias
Ryker is thrown over the top early and Elias joins him. TND then dive at the same time on them. Ryker spinebusters Woods and pounds on him. Elias hits a spinning fireman's carry slam on Woods and we go to a rare picture-in-picture commercial for Raw as they pimp a movie. Woods comes from the 2nd rope onto Ryker but is swatted down. Woods takes a spinebuster then a suplex onto Ryker's knee for 2.
Woods hits an enzugiri and Kofi makes the hot tag. He hits a springboard chop and a nice dropkick. Kofi boom drops Elias then Woods top rope double knees Elias while his back is on Kofi's knee for the win. This was short but was decent.
Randy Orton does a promo. He said he was distracted for the last six months. He said he has to go through Drew and Braun but has the RKO.
Firefly Funhouse
Bray says it is good to be back. He said he feels great and this could be a brand new start for all of us. He said he feels reborn and says everything will be fine.
#1 Contender's Match - Drew McIntyre vs Braun Strowman vs Randy Orton
Orton lets Drew and Braun fight to start. Orton and Drew pound on Braun and double suplex him. Braun charges at Drew on the outside and gets nailed with the steps, then Drew gets backdropped on the table by Orton.
We go to break and return with Braun taking a 1v2 again. Drew hits some clotheslines on Orton and belly to belly suplexes him. Braun splashes Orton and Drew goes for a neckbreaker but only gets Braun's beard.
Drew goes on the apron and goes back first on it due to Orton. Orton bangs Drew's head off the table then throws him over into in the chair. Braun the charges into Orton and knocks him down. Braun nails Drew with the steps then does the same to Orton and hits Drew again with them.
Orton ddt's Braun over the middle rope and then RKO's him, but Drew breaks up the count. Drew then pins Orton after kicking Braun out of the ring. This was okay but nothing too special and not really the best work of any guy. Drew pretty much had to win here but it isn't clear where Orton and Braun go now.
MVP then comes out and Mace and T-Bar double sitout chokeslam Drew from behind. MVP did mention the Hurt Business earlier and maybe that's what he meant.
Overall thoughts: This wasn't too bad, but it wasn't a super exciting show.
